What is an aircraft ferry pilot, and what do you do?

An aircraft ferry pilot is a professional hired to fly an aircraft from one location to another — typically after a purchase or sale, a relocation, or maintenance. I handle the entire mission: route and fuel planning, weather and go/no-go decisions, customs and cross-border coordination, and the flight itself — delivering your aircraft safely from point A to B.

How much does it cost to ferry an aircraft in Canada?

Cost depends on the aircraft, the distance, and the route. I offer two transparent options: a day rate plus actual expenses reconciled against receipts, or one guaranteed all-in price with no surprises. Do you fly cross-border and international ferry flights?

Yes. Cross-border and international delivery is a core part of what I do, including Canada–US ferries and long ocean legs such as North Atlantic and Pacific crossings. I manage customs and eAPIS/CANPASS requirements, over-water equipment, and long-range ferry-tank fuel planning.

What parts of Canada do you serve?

I’m based at CZBA in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, and ferry aircraft across all of Canada — as well as to and from the United States and internationally. Whether the aircraft is in Ontario, out west, or needs collecting from another country, I can plan and fly the delivery.

What types of aircraft can you ferry?

Single- and multi-engine piston aircraft, plus light turboprops — types such as the Cessna 172 and 182, Piper Arrow, Beechcraft Bonanza, and Aviat Husky. For ocean crossings I arrange approved long-range ferry-tank installations (for example, Turtle Pac) to safely extend range.

Is my aircraft insured during the ferry flight?

You keep the aircraft airworthy and insured for the ferry, and in most cases your insurer adds the ferry pilot to your policy at no additional cost. I’m happy to coordinate with your insurer and provide the pilot details they need. This is general information, not insurance advice — always confirm specifics with your insurer.
